Dave and Lori would like to welcome you all to our Magnificent
1800's Newly renovated over 5,000 sq. ft. Greek Revival Mansion, which
is located in The Quaint Village of Laurens, directly across from Knapp
Park. This two story Mansion features, six beautifully decorated rooms,
along with three new bathrooms, in which two of them feature rain showers.
Our 1,000 sq. ft. kitchen is located on our first floor,and is equipped
with all new appliances, including flat screen t.v....choose to eat
at our 9 ft. bar while watching your favorite t.v. show., and or if
you prefer, dine in our 500 sq. ft. Great Room , and or along our 40
ft. long front porch brookside.
Just located two miles from beautiful Gilbert State Park, for your swimming, boating and fishing pleasure!
History
Dave and Lori are the owners of the historical Whipple house in Laurens,
New York. Dave and Lori both had successful careers, and are now excited
to start their new career being gracious hosts here at Brookside Inn
at Laurens. Dave has operated his own business in the Commercial and
Residential Contracting Business for over 20 years and Lori has been
in the Health Field for over 15 years. Together they are looking forward
to their new career in the Bed and Breakfast Industry, which will enable
them to meet fascinating people from many countries, cultures, and walks
of life.
David Whipple became a permanent resident of Laurens in 1865. He had
been wharfage collector on his uncle's pier in New York City since 1849,
and had frequently traveled from his home in Laurens by stage coach
to Albany, and then by streamboat to the city. His wife managed their
large house during his absences with the help of various neighbors,
who were hired for laundry, ironing, cleaning, and gardening.
Today, Dave and Lori have beautifully remodeled the entire house and
made it into the Laurens All Star B&B.

beautiful 250 sq. ft. room is located on the first floor of the Mansion.
This room has a queen-size bed, gas fireplace, ceiling fan, wireless
internet, cable t.v. w/dvd player, and semi-private bathroom.

and the Gazebo at Knapp Park across the street from the mansion. This

ceiling fan, wireless internet, cable t.v. w/dvd player, and semi-private
bathroom. Complimentry coffee, tea, snack.

beautifully handmade marble gas fireplace in the winter. For your viewing
and listening pleasure, we have a 27 inch flat screen t.v., and piped
in music.

You may also sit and enjoy breakfast, or perhaps, an afternoon snack
at our nine foot bar in our 1,000 square foot kitchen, and be able to
enjoy flat screen t.v., and warmth of our granite gas fireplace in winter.
