The Bird House

You will fall in love with this spacious two story rustic guest house, which sleeps 7-9 people in the four bedrooms and nursery. The cabin is nestled back into the woods and offers a wonderful Green experience. As Birdhouse is ¼ mile off the road and 4 acres from the nearest farmhouse, there is plenty of privacy.

There is a 30’ deck off the back of the house. It is here in the tree tops that one understands why the cottage has been named the “Bird House”.

The open airy cathedral ceiling makes this living room / dining room space a joy. The pellet stove provides a comforting fire on a chilly evening and the windows provide views into natures woodland and assisted with fans a cross ventilation to cool you in the warm afternoons.

The spacious fully equipped kitchen has a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and is perfect for preparing nutritional family meals with fresh produce from the local farmer’s market.

The upper level has a main bedroom with a queen size bed and a writing desk in front of the window so your thoughts are framed with tranquility. A portable air-conditioner is available for your convenience.

The second bedroom on the upper level has a single bed. There is a rocker by the window to enhance reading time. All bedrooms have sheets, blankets, two pillows per person and a bedspread. The two bedrooms on the upper level share a full bath. Towels are provided.

The lower level houses two bedrooms each with two twin beds. These rooms share a bath on the lower level which features a refreshing walk-in shower.

Young children find their own delight in a room just for them. Youth beds are just the right size and the toys are sure to delight.

In addition to the living room there is a lower level studio which opens directly into the back yard for picnics. It is furnished with comfortable easy reading furniture and comes complete with an 1890’s honky-tonk piano; so bring your songbooks! There are numerous games for family time; and numerous books for reading. The lower level maintains a comfortable geo-cooled space.

Wildlife on the property includes deer, turkey, rabbits, frogs, a variety of song birds and many more of natures’ delightful gifts.

Assistance

Kindra lives next door. She will check you in when you arrive; she is available should you need her. Cory lives across the street and is also available to help. To protect your privacy, there is no maid service. The facility is cleaned between guest stays.
